From the recording Freshman 61
You get to a stage in life, where you realise that time is an enemy. So many things you wanted to do - you never got around to it, or you just put it off for another time. Later. Then, one day you find that time is actually finite. And maybe more so than you thought. For myself - I had that lightbulb moment in 2024, but was luckily given a second chance. Begs the question - what do you really want to do with the time you have left? Where is the most value in your life? Don't get trapped by time, because one day the sand in the hourglass will indeed run out. And it may be sooner than you anticipated. - Matt
Lyrics
Time is ticking
Your life is sticking
And the sand is running through the glass
You don’t know why
And as hard as you try
You’re finding things are moving too fast
You’re trapped by time
Tick tock the clocks running out
You’ve forgotten the reason you’re here
Trapped by time
Tick tock you’re spinning around
The days and months turn into years
Trapped by time whoa
Trapped by time
Trapped by time whoa
You’re trapped by time
Trapped by time whoa
Trapped by time
Trapped by time whoa
You’re trapped by time
You’re trapped by time
Tick tock the clocks running out
You’ve forgotten the reason you’re here
Trapped by time
Tick tock you’re spinning around
The days and months turn into years
Time is ticking
Your life is sticking
And the sand is running through the glass
You don’t know why
And as hard as you try
You’re finding things are moving too fast
You’re trapped by time
Tick tock the clocks running out
You’ve forgotten the reason you’re here
Trapped by time
Tick tock you’re spinning around
The days and months turn into years
Trapped by time whoa
Trapped by time
Trapped by time whoa
You’re trapped by time
Trapped by time
Trapped by time
You’re trapped by time
