The first Wildlive album “Gotta Start Somewhere” was released on 01 July 2025. Featuring 10 original tracks, the album is Matt Halloran's first foray into publishing his songs after suffering a serious medical drama in 2024.

The title track largely comes from Matt's own story. His love and passion for music in his teenage years, where somehow that burning desire was buried deeper and deeper underground as his life and career took a different direction. Decades later, and with a new sense of focus and vision forced upon him, he came to the conclusion that even though the light was dimmed, he just couldn't let his talents and gifts be buried forever. 

“This all comes largely from a passage in the Bible,” Matt states, "where in the book of Matthew, Jesus gives the parable of the talents. It's where God entrusts people with various gifts, skills, resources - talents - and there is an expectation to use these gifts faithfully to produce good results."

“For a long time I have known that I had this thing - this gift, this talent of poetry, lyrics, songwriting - that I had buried deep underground for many years,” continues Matt, “and I was always going to get around to doing something about it. One day. But that passage in Matthew has some stern words for those who bury their gifts and talents, and given my own medical wake up call, I could no longer ignore my calling. I had to start digging.”

And so Wildlive and “Gotta Start Somewhere” was born.
