Gold Coast, Australia — September 2025 — After a life-changing medical crisis in 2024, lyricist Matt Halloran has transformed decades of creative ideas into reality with his songwriting project, Wildlive.
In May 2024, at just 59, Halloran survived a sudden and near-fatal aortic dissection, enduring four major surgeries, kidney failure, dialysis, multiple transfusions, and the insertion of ten stents during a traumatic five-week hospital stay. Despite lasting damage and reduced kidney function, his recovery inspired a new outlook: to live with purpose and creativity.
“Something had to change,” says Halloran. “I’d buried my creative calling for too long. Time is short, and it would be remiss of me not to give this a go while I still have life to live.”
Wildlive is the result — a project fuelled by over 40 years of original lyrics, songwriting concepts, and Halloran’s experience as a musician, radio host, promoter, and performer. Today, with the help of modern technology and AI, Wildlive produces fresh, contemporary, and commercially-ready music across multiple genres.
This October, Wildlive releases its third album, Celebrate The Love — a joyful Christmas and holiday collection. From the gospel-inspired Light of the World to the playful Santa’s Stuck in My Chimney, the album promises cheer, warmth, and plenty of festive fun.
With resilience, faith, and creativity at its core, Wildlive is more than music — it’s a celebration of survival, renewal, and the joy of song.
