Wildlive is a songwriting project that essentially started over 45 years ago, but the gift was only realised after a life changing medical drama. 

Hi! My name is Matt Halloran. In May 2024, and at 59 years of age, I suffered a sudden aortic dissection that cut blood flow to my leg and kidneys, leading to four major surgeries, kidney failure, dialysis, and a five-week hospital stay. Though left with lasting damage and reduced kidney function, I gradually recovered, and 6 months later returned to part-time work. 

But the experience had a profound effect on my outlook, giving a renewed sense of gratitude, purpose and a new focus on my life direction. To coin a phrase, I found out first hand that life is short. And unpredictable.

A large part of this "renewal" has been to return to my long buried musical and lyrical creativity, and my energies have now re-focused this "Wildlive" songwriting project. 

It's actually the culmination of over 40 years of original lyrics and songwriting concepts, combining those ideas with new technologies (including AI) to produce a range of hit-worthy contemporary song packages in a range of musical styles.

I am well aware of the controversies around AI in traditional musical circles, but in my situation I have found it to be the perfect partnership for my creativity. At this point, I am not a performer (however, I am working on refining these skills!), but am primarily a lyricist and songwriter, and using AI technology is the best way for me to complete and produce my songwriting, bringing my thoughts, insights and messages to a wider audience that would have been impossible to reach otherwise.
